MoS Book Club
6:30pm Thursday June 14th, 2012
The Chief highly recommends the Ministry of Stories Book Club as a chance for both MoS volunteers and non-volunteers to meet each other and also to share their thoughts on a book each month. We alternate each Book Club meeting between two rather broad categories: Classics and Trash
1) Classics = a book that we really ought to have to read, but haven’t
2) Trash = a book that we would really rather be embarrassed to be caught reading.
This month it’s Trash and this gives you an almost cast-iron excuse for reading the New York Times No 1 Bestseller “Fifty Shades of Grey” by E L James. What started out as a piece of fan fiction, now tops the commercial fiction charts. But be warned: though the Chief wouldn’t ever admit to reading it this book is apparently rather racey … We can’t wait, frankly.
We welcome all new booklovers. You don’t have to volunteer with the Ministry to partake in the fun and a convivial evening drink. Read the book and come join us!
Sign up below and meet us at Hoxton Street’s Red Lion Pub
