The Secrets of Soap Writing 10/11

5:00pm Monday July 2nd, 2012

Building from our successful soap writing workshops with local secondary schools over the last two terms, this regular Tuesday after-school session will support a team of young writers aged 13 + through the process of devising, scripting and editing their own soap inspired by the local area. Devised in partnership with trusty MoS volunteer and EastEnders lead writer, Pete Lawson, this writing team will work towards a filmed production of their script in July.

Mentors will get the most from a regular commitment to this extended project which will run for up to 10 sessions from Tuesday 1st May. If you have particular skills or an interest in writing for the screen, or in editing or producing for TV and film, all the better!

Please arrive promptly at the above time. The session runs from 5 – 7.30pm  including a compulsory briefing at the start and debrief at the end of the workshop for volunteers.

PLEASE NOTE: This session has been rescheduled from Tuesday 3rd to Monday 2nd.
