Gothic Writing

Writing a story becomes easier when a setting and inspiration is provided. Students enter the world of Hoxton Street Monster Supplies and are guided through writing their own tale of gothic horror with the help of the shop’s objects and stories. This workshop works particularly well for year 7 - 9 students studying gothic fiction, or for students working on their narrative and descriptive writing skills for GCSE. Students take home a beautiful writing resource, completed by them.

Years 6-11. Suitable for a group of up to 30

£300 a session

Rebel Girls

Inspired by best-selling book, Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls, students write stories about their own women heroes. Each school receives a free copy of the book. In partnership with Penguin Random House.

Any weekday, subject to availability, 1 hour. This workshop takes place at your school

Years 4-6. Suitable for a group of up to 30

£150 a session, available to ten local schools in summer 2018

Longer term projects with schools

We also work with schools on projects
that span a half term. Past projects have seen students: look at product design and copywriting, stand proudly on their soapboxes to write great speeches, investigate mysterious props in bags to create fantastic short fiction, design a museum of curated childhood objects and write letters to the great and powerful.
