Bob and Victor’s Mystery

Author: Petchey Academy

Illustrator: Callum Robertson

It started last week. That was when I heard the scream of a girl. The next day I went around the forest and heard the same noise again. It was twelve o’clock at twilight on Friday the thirteenth. Two minutes later Victor and I saw a shadow move in the light of the moon.

We were in our cabin when we heard the screaming. We were terrified. Next we heard the whooshing of the trees breaking into pieces. Then we saw blood splattered everywhere. Five minutes later we heard three heart stopping slow knocks on the door. We slowly opened the door and there was a blank scene outside. We were trembling with fear. Victor and I ran outside and Victor slipped over in the dripping blood. We heard a branch crack. Victor and I had the strange feeling that we were being watched. Then we saw a dead body on the earthy ground.

Victor, damp with blood, ran behind me. Then we saw green blood! A dog appeared and started chasing us. The dead body started to move. The dog stopped! We saw the same face of the dead body behind the dog’s back.

“Are we going to make it alive?” I asked Victor. Before he could answer, there was a loud blood curdling hiss and the ground cracked apart and I was trapped inside…
