The Unexpected

My name is Malfa. I would love to be normal. I didn’t mean to tell them, they just found out. It was Benjamin who told me that they knew. I wish I could die. Now I can’t stop running.

It was that day, I was stuck at my boarding school, MacFowlans for girls, AKA my living hell, and it was raining outside. I knew Judas was coming, I could just feel it. It felt like he was just around the corner, coming to get me again, ready for another bite. I remember when he bit me the last time, I felt pain beyond measure. I remember rubbing my scar as the raindrops fell down the window.

The door flew open and Judas was standing there. This was his little game he liked to play. He would watch me until I thought it was safe.

Then my room mate Jessie came in saying “Who’s this? You know you’re not allowed boys in the dormitory.” Judas pounced on her but I hardly noticed, I just saw the look in his eyes and I knew we were doomed. The look in his eyes showed that this was not just any old game. Suddenly he was gone and all I saw was a lifeless body lying on the floor that used to be Jessie.

Mr Blakemore came in with a shocked look on his face. “I’ve seen this coming, it was only a matter of time!” I jumped out of the window and ran for it and as I said earlier, I can’t stop running…
