Dave Eggers visits the Ministry of Stories

Posted by theministry on 24th February 2014

On Wednesday 5th March 1.30 – 2.30pm, Dave Eggers will be signing copies of his latest book The Circle right here at the Ministry of Stories.

The Circle is about a young woman, Mae Holland, and her experience of working at a global internet company.

It addresses our obsession with the internet and social networks, and questions the idea of privacy, what becomes no longer personal.

It follows other works including A Hologram for the King and A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius.

And excitingly for us Hoxton Story Ministers, the Ministry of Stories was inspired by the writing organisation Eggers co-founded in the US, 826 Valencia.

So we’re looking forward to saying a rather large hello.

Tickets are free but we do recommend that you arrive early as a first come first served policy will be in operation.

Pages of Hackney will be selling copies of The Circle on the day.
